I've dreamed of a trustworthy, local, and free resource for cannabis since I first used marijuana in 2008. Weed is powerful; I knew that the second my hands started to tingle a few minutes after inhaling. But what I didn't know was where to go to find real information about weed.
Immediately after Medical Marijuana was approved in Oklahoma, I created OKKush.org so that none of my fellow Oklahomans have to feel overwhelmed when considering cannabis. It's a lot of work to keep a website up to date, but I'm still going after starting more than 2 years ago.
There are thousands of websites to find information about weed. But none of them are really targetted toward me. I'm just a small town guy trying to support Main Street instead of the national or global websites that kill local business and force dispensaries and brands to fight for scraps after paying high monthly listing fees. I don't pay attention to what fatcats in other states are doing. I'd rather be with my fellow Oklahomans.
I set out to create an absolutely free resource. My promise to my fellow Oklahomans is this:
- Patients can get up to date information, un-edited reviews, and non-biased, well researched information for free, forever.
- Doctors can list their clinics and prices for free, forever.
- Dispensaries can list their menus and even take online orders for free, forever.
- Brands can list their products and descriptions for free, forever.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, I only have my word. The Oklahoma cannabis community has always been welcoming to everyone.
I love this community. I am a part of this community. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this community thrives.
Tell your friends, tell your local dispensary, tell everyone you know in the industry. Support Oklahoma. Support Local. Support OKKush.org.
